Born May 3rd 1985, Saalim Ismail is a South African music artist, certified transformation life coach, philanthropist and creative entrepreneur.
Since starting out at the age of 14 as an entertainer, Saalim gained popularity among his people through winning several talent contests, regular performances in the Western Cape and across South Africa at prestigious events like “Lighting of the Olympic Torch”, he shared the stage with some of the country’s household names such as; Freshly Ground, Danny K, Loyiso Bala, and Heinz Winkler which are but a few to mention, and he has also worked with legends like; Vicky Sampson, the late Taliep Petersen and Zayn Adam who praised him for his vocal talent. Saalim is no stranger to the media who has featured him for various musical and philanthropic projects. He has released his debut single entitled “Walking Away” worldwide in 2013, followed by a second single “Stronger” in 2014 and in September 2020 released a humanitarian anthem written and composed by himself called “We Are Survivors (Singabasindileyo)” featuring various independent artists and creatives.
Throughout his musical journey, charity has always formed part of his career by supporting several organizations such as; CANSA, House of Sally, SA Society of Hope, the Al-Waagah Institute for the deaf and Nosh for Josh which are but a few to mention off this lengthy list.
Education has always formed part of Saalim’s upbringing, and to date he graduated at Stellenbosch University for Business Management, Damelin College for Sound and Music Production, Transformation Academy for Transformation Life Coaching and Shaw Academy for Leadership and management.
